Tiff Perkins
Tiffany Perkins is a dynamic community leader, entrepreneur, cultural curator, writer, and advocate dedicated to amplifying Black culture, small businesses, civic engagement, and community connection throughout Clarksville. As the founder of Black Clarksville, Tiffany has built one of the region’s most influential grassroots platforms focused on celebrating Black excellence, supporting local entrepreneurs, and creating inclusive spaces where culture and community thrive.
In addition to her community work, Tiffany is also the owner and creative force behind According to Plan Events, an event planning and production company known for creating intentional, elevated, and memorable experiences. Through her work in event design and coordination, she has helped bring countless weddings, corporate gatherings, cultural celebrations, nonprofit events, and community activations to life with creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Her ability to blend logistics with storytelling has made her a trusted name in both the business and nonprofit sectors.
Since launching Black Clarksville in 2019, Tiffany has become widely recognized for producing impactful events that bring people together through culture, education, and celebration. From the Clarksville Juneteenth Block Party to the annual Black Excellence Banquet, her work has helped spotlight Black-owned businesses, artists, nonprofits, and leaders while creating opportunities for meaningful connection and economic visibility across the city.
Known for her ability to turn vision into action, Tiffany has collaborated with local organizations, civic leaders, creatives, and community advocates to produce large-scale cultural experiences that reflect the heart and diversity of Clarksville. Her leadership has helped position Black Clarksville as more than a media or events platform — it has become a trusted community resource and a driving force for representation, empowerment, and visibility.
Beyond event production and community organizing, Tiffany is also a storyteller and communications professional whose work has highlighted local businesses, community initiatives, and underrepresented voices throughout Middle Tennessee. Her writing and media contributions have appeared in local and national publications and digital platforms, where she has consistently used storytelling as a tool to strengthen community engagement and advocacy.
Tiffany’s commitment to civic engagement extends into public service as well. She serves with the Montgomery County Election Commission, further reflecting her dedication to equitable representation, voter access, and community participation in the democratic process.
Whether she is organizing a citywide cultural festival, producing unforgettable events through According to Plan Events, advocating for minority-owned businesses, elevating emerging voices, or building partnerships that strengthen the community, Tiffany Perkins leads with purpose, authenticity, and a deep belief in the power of people coming together.
